My Baby Girl

Jasmine Is 6 Months Old!

My baby girl is half a year old. What?
When did that happen is what i want to know!
She is now up to 16 lbs. 7 oz.
She wears size 6 month clothes and drinks 6 oz. bottles....lots of sixes!

She is able to put herself to sleep with a couple lovie blankets and her pacifier for 3 naps a day and about 11 hours at night.
A far cry from when Vivi was a baby!

Jasmine has changed SO much from when she was a newborn...it hardly seems like the same baby. She is just so pretty and we can't get over her!

This month she has begun to eat whole milk organic yogurt and will be trying some new fruits and veggies. We also added a meal to her day so she now eats oatmeal w/fruit for breakfast, yogurt w/a veggie or fruit for lunch, and brown rice w/a veggie or two for dinner.
She hasn't refused anything we have tried yet, she loves to eat.

And a very exciting milestone is that she is drinking from a sippy cup!
I am all about weaning off the bottle by one years old, so we will spend the next 6 months working the sippy cup with water and sometimes her formula to make an easy transition from bottle to cup completely around 11 months old. That way when I begin to put whole milk in her cup at one year, she will be used to drinking from it!

So far she loves it!

In Two Weeks

Our oldest son will be seven years old!
I have been very busy this weekend getting things prepared for his Lego themed boys party on October 8th.
We have games and favors, and food ideas...it is going to be lots of fun.

I have been browsing lots of websites for ideas and this one allows viewers to download her photograph which is what I did for our invitations and then just printed them at Target for 10 cents a piece! I will also be making a Lego brick pinata. That ought to be interesting!

My Sick Baby Girl

Jasmine needs some prayers! She kept us up for two nights crying off and on. So I took her to the Dr. and she said her left ear has a bad infection and busted the ear drum a little. They took a swab and said if it comes back bad bacteria she will have to have tubes immediately. But if it is normal bacteria, then her antibiotic will fix it. She also has very expensive drops for her ear. :(

She goes back in 2 weeks to see if the ear drum healed itself. Poor baby!!

Vivianna's Adoption Day!

Every year on Sept. 21st we celebrate the day we went to court to finalize Vivianna's adoption!
Jasmine's date will be Oct. 7th, Isaac's is his homecoming day on Feb. 6th and Jayden will be either July 27th or 28th because the first is his court date and the second his homecoming date!

Usually I get the kids a cookie cake, but this year we went to a cupcake shop!

She opened her gifts and said, "this is the best day of my life!!"

And keeping with our tradition, she wore polka dots!

Birthday Parties and Baby Showers

This has been a month of celebrations every weekend!

I thought I would share what we have been up to around here.

First off is the CUTEST baby shower I have ever been to.
It was hosted by some of our church friends for another church friend.

It was a vintage circus theme.

So much fun!

We also celebrated my friend Kim's son turning one year old!

This party was off the hook!
Dinner, popcorn, a bounce house, cotton candy machine, cake and blue bell cake flavored icecream....it was a well done party and ya'll know how I appreciate a well done party!!

Then the boys got to go to a pool party.

Isaac had a friend from his kindergarten class last year invite him to his Lego themed pool party!

And finally, my friend Ali's son turned two years old.

We celebrated at a Safari park/toy store.
Very fun!

They also played golf (here with the birthday boy!)

This week we will be celebrating Vivi's adoption day anniversary!

October will not be slowing down for us either as we have Jasmine's adoption, Isaac's 7th birthday, AND two more parties we have been invited to!! This on top of pumpkin patches and fall festivals...whew!
