I am so sorry for the lack of updates, friends. This has been one crazy busy month around these parts. Plus it is the end of the school year which always finds a way of suddenly creeping up on me with the amount of work that this time of year requires.
I will spend this weekend catching up beginning with our preschool graduation celebration...
Not only did my seven sweet students graduate from Pre-Kindergarten last week...but my baby boy was one of them!
Awww...isn't he cute?
With my deep need and drive for all celebrations to be fabulous...
I don't do mediocre parties, remember.
I was able to secure from our administration, graduation gowns and caps for the first time in the history of our preschool.
I consider that a personal victory, peeps.
So with Pomp and Circumstance playing,
our babies entered the sanctuary.
They sang two songs, we distributed diplomas and awards... and played a photo slideshow of each child to,
"A Thousand Years" by Cristina Perry.
It was perfection.
Afterwards was a cake and punch reception for the families.
And the debut of the first ever Pre-K Art Gallery.
Something I dropped on the other Pre-K teacher a week before graduation!!
Sorry, Ms. Cara...you are such a trooper.
She is my problem solver too...cause I have a bad habit of getting in way over my head in the vision department and then wanting to pass out when things get too complicated. I sure am thankful to have had a co-teacher with follow through.
Between the two of us and our 16 students, we pulled off some sweet looking art projects to our theme,
Blast Off To Kindergarten:
I printed off these party favors too.
The families all agreed it was a fantastic evening!
I am so proud of my team that helped pull this together.
And will miss my students so very much.
