My favorite little cupcake blogger is at it again!

"Bakerella" has really outdone herself this time. She made snowglobe cupcakes out of coke bottles (see below).

Adorable!! My Dad would LOVE these. I would have done them up myself, but I just do not have the patience for those fondant bears. I mean come on!!! It is just all too much cuteness and creativity. Inspiring, though I will say! I may try the snow globes in the future with a different theme. I especially like those gummy sodas. You can find those anywhere! Nice work, Bakerella!

Four More Days Until Christmas!!!

Tomorrow one of my best friends (who is pregnant with her THIRD girl, by the way! Woo hoo for pink!) is coming over and all the kids are going to decorate sugar cookies. Ought to be fun and messy! It is cold here which is always nice in the winter, we had chili for dinner! Christmas Eve, we will be at my sister's house and then to their church that night. Christmas Day, the kids will open their presents from us and then all of us--including the dogs--will be driving to Houston for 3 days to celebrate with Billy's family. I will try to download the pics of our remaining Christmas activities over the past few days before Christmas Eve, so I will be caught up. I am fighting a cold, so I have had no energy to do anything. On a side note, I bought Oscar his annual Christmas t-shirt and apparently he has gained some weight since moving into the apartment because it was a tight squeeze! I'll have to take a picture- too funny!

A Home For the Holidays

Every year we tune in to watch this special on CBS. The show highlights children who are currently awaiting families in the U.S. foster care system and also has celebrity appearences. This year it is Faith Hill singing "A Baby Changes Everything". Greatness! Faith herself was adopted as an infant. The Dave Thomas Foundation is one that has been close to our hearts for several years now. If you are looking for an organization to make a Christmas donation to- this is the one for you!!
