Some of my children are perfectly content with afternoon snacks of this nature, you know sugar and carbs...what we all want at 3:00 in the afternoon, right?But one of my children requires a little more....shall I say, protein!
Hummus w/wheat pretzel sticks, sausages, olives and a dill pickle, cheddar cheese, horseradish spread on wheat thins, and sliced plum. Oh, and a yogurt drink.

Oh, and a yogurt drink.This particular child goes through growth spurts where his pants become too short overnight, he sleeps 11 hours straight, and is constantly hungry...even after eating a full course dinner. This particular child is a head taller then every single child in his class at school. This child drools over burger commercials and dreams of pizza buffets....for the salad bar.

Oh my goodness, yes! When our boys came home it was like adding 5 extra people to our grocery bill. Gabe is not growing much right now, but Jeremiah is growing inches at a time. He will be outgrowing his big brother soon, which Gabe is none to happy about. That's one of the interesting things about adopting children that are genetically unrelated. :)
My son who is about the same age eats everything and tons of it too! He can eat his worth at a buffet too! And he is skin and bones! Yes, the teenage years scare me too . . . .
lol Cute post! That was my brother! My parents would wrap up the nights dinner left overs, and we knew my brother would have them gone when he got home from school the next day! He was so thin, and super tall and could eat more than our family of 7 put together! He would eat 1 sandwich with 5 pieces of bread on it! Good Luck!
We went to a buffet after church on Sunday. I'm pretty sure they're rethinking their "kids under 3 are free" deal after Little Man. The kid already eats a ton... I know I'm looking at his future when I look at Isaac :)

When Isaac was young and still free, we would pay for the two of us adults and say to the manager who came to our table to check in, "We apologize that our child is about to take ya'll for a ride on this kids eat free policy!"
It always got a huge laugh. :)
He's my kind of kid, loving that salad bar! I dream of a place back home (Western Sizzlin) that has the best salad bar!
