Every year the kids get to choose the resteraunt for their special day. We celebrate Isaac's homecoming and Vivi's finalization day. We will likely make J's special day July 28th the day he came home, too. So...much to Billy's joy Isaac chose Pei Wei!
We gave him the traditional cookie cake and a small gift.
I always give him his favorite candy bar.
All the kids are BIG fans of chicken Lo Mein.
He is getting to be such a big boy. We can't believe 5 years have passed since he came home!!

We do the same and we call it their SPECIAL Day! We have some really fun traditions that evolved from something the kids did as babies on their "Special Day".
One celebration came about from when our daughter was one and something funny she did. It is easier to tell in person or by phone. We love our Special Days. Even the dogs have their own Special Day! That day is the day we got our kids and our pups. We also celebrate birthdays really big. I can invite you to my private family blog if you would like?

Happy 5 years! So hard to believe he's getting that old.
Trying to pick the date for Belle's party Dave asked if we could do it on the 15th since that's the day we got the call. Had to hide a tear, he can be so sweet sometimes thinking about things like that.
