Our future preacher
We have thought for sometime now that Isaac might just want to be a pastor someday. Basically ever since we put him in a suit and tie last year! With the amount of volume and the fact that he likes to talk SO much- he won't need a P.A. system!
So today we were hanging a cross on the wall and he ran up to us gasping and said, "That is where God put Jesus and He died!" We stopped mid hammer and looked wide eyed as he continued, "and then the mean men took his body and put it in a big rock. And later the tomb was empty and Jesus was alive again! Hooray!" Oh my goodness- was all we could say. We gave him lots of praises and he finished his sermon with "remember, God loves you wherever you are!" as he sang the end tune to his BOZ video. What a memory this child has!
He also insists on doing the prayer before every meal which sounds very similar to that big green bear Boz. "Thank you God as this day ends for my family and my friends, taking time to sit and pray. Thank you, God for this great day. Thank you for my mommy and daddy and Vivi and dogs. Thank you for my new house and all the work we do to it. Thank you for this dinner. In Jesus name, Amen." So sweet!
Oh the joy that wells in a mother's heart when her son can dictate theology. :)

I'm Back!
Aliza is now a one year old!
Aliza's Mommy, Gloria and I were college roommates and in each other's weddings.I am officially back from my blogging break. Whew! Did you miss me? :) I will say I don't feel like my normal self as we have moved and with everything going on, I feel like I am in another world-spacey. What I am excited about is our new laptop which downloads pics on here like super fast! So get ready for some major picture posts.
So for the past couple weeks we were busy busy. The pictures here are of our trip to
San Antonio for Aliza Furman's first birthday! We joined their families and went to the zoo, ate dragon cake, and had a fun time watching her receive her gifts. Happy Birthday, Princess Aliza!
During our move, Vivi was sick but with the help of some serious naps and a couple of "Naked" smoothies, she was better in a few days and did fine on the trip except for her tantrums. That girl has hit toddlerhood running, that's for sure! I will post pics of our apartment soon as we are slowly getting things hung on the walls. It is not easy moving with two small children. I can't find my planner or address book so that is a real bummer. Hopefully it will show up soon.
I feel like there is so much I could say but my brain is a bit fried. In a couple days I will try to post pics of the wedding shower I threw for my good friend, Jen. It was fun! And I will also post pics of the kids new room. It is coming along nicely!
Hope everyone is doing well. I have enjoyed catching up on blogs now that we have internet again!

Cupcake Contest
Okay ya'll- I had to come off my blogging break for a brief moment. As I procrastinated in packing yesterday- I submitted pictures of some cupcakes I have recently designed to a Cupcake Contest on http://www.marthastewart.com/. Yesterday was the first day of the contest, it runs until Friday, and there have already been over 500 entries! That is insane... really. Cupcakes are a hot item, I guess! So the fun thing is that this picture of Vivi's birthday cupcake tree has already been viewed by 62 people!
That is up there in numbers with some of the fancy bakery designed ones. Do I think I could actually win this contest with the kind of competition there is, no way. But it has been fun to see how many people like my pink polka dot creation. So if you want to view it there, go to Martha's website, click Enter Cutest Cupcake Contest, View All Photos. I am currently on page 50 or higher. You will see my name there along with my lovely little Key Lime Buttercream one I did Saturday for a wedding shower.
And I came up with this concept and recipe all on my own! I was so proud.
Okay back to my blogging break as the movers are coming today!
